Ritual Body Oil Guide

Anointing as Remembering

Body oiling is an ancient practice: part medicine, part prayer. It invites us to return to the skin as sacred ground. Whether used to soothe the nervous system, grieve in private, prepare for ceremony, or reclaim your body after trauma, this ritual offers a way home.

You are not just moisturizing, you are tending.

🕯️ When to Practice:

  • After bathing, before bed, or as a daily devotional act

  • During moments of anxiety, grief, or disconnection

  • In sync with the moon or as part of seasonal rituals

🌿 What You’ll Need:

  • A few drops of your SoulCraft Body Oil

  • Warm towel (optional)

  • Quiet space and 5–15 minutes

  • Your presence (perfection not required)

✨ Ritual Steps:

  1. Create Space
Light a candle, put on soft music, or sit in silence. This is your container.

  2. Warm the Oil
Pour a few drops into your palms and rub together slowly. Let the scent rise. Inhale. Arrive.

  3. Anoint with Intention
Move slowly. Apply oil from crown to sole or wherever your body calls for touch. As you move:

    • Forehead & temples → “May I soften.”

    • Heart space → “May I receive myself fully.”

    • Abdomen → “I trust my center.”

    • Legs & feet → “I stand rooted in who I am.”

  4. Breathe & Rest
Once your body is fully oiled, pause. Let the skin drink. Let the nervous system settle. No rush. No fixing. Just presence.

Optional Additions:
☉ Speak affirmations aloud
☉ Oil under moonlight or after ritual bathing
☉ Follow with journaling or silence

Notes:
This ritual is not about beauty, it’s about reconnecting.
You are not just tending to skin.
You are tending to memory. To spirit. To return.
